Keep the conflict visible
The selected Comfort Care retailer page has a flushable feature, but its additional instructions say used litter should be disposed of only in trash. The current manufacturer page separately has conditional flushing language. This collection records both rather than choosing one sentence and presenting it as an unconditional rule for every location and plumbing system.
Read the manufacturer footnote
World’s Best’s current maker page limits its flushing claim to well-maintained systems and says only 1–2 clumps at a time. It also notes California discourages flushing cat feces and encourages trash disposal. These are source conditions, not a personalized plumbing approval. The finder does not ask for an address and decide whether a particular system qualifies.
Do not transfer the claim
Ultra’s current maker explicitly says do not flush. Its clay formula does not inherit a corn product’s conditional claim. ökocat’s current FAQ makes flushability dependent on local rules and plumbing and includes California guidance. Three clumping products therefore require separate disposal records;material labels alone do not establish one common result.
A local rule is another evidence layer
A brand’s product statement cannot establish permission under every local wastewater or environmental requirement. The website has not checked the buyer’s actual authority or plumbing. If local acceptance or a source contradiction matters, obtain clarification from the relevant supplier and local service. Do not treat a generic flushable badge as proof that those checks are complete.
Keep environmental pathways separate
Flushing, trash, composting, recycling and outdoor disposal are different routes. A biodegradable claim does not automatically authorize any of them for used litter. The selected retailer’s additional instructions also warn against outdoor, gutter or storm-drain disposal. This guide does not create a composting protocol or a local acceptance guarantee from the material being plant-based.
Use the finder as a record
The tool displays the exact source state and its uncertainty. It does not return a blanket green yes or a plumbing-safe certificate. For an unknown formula or version, it asks for the actual label and source rather than guessing. Complete current package-panel and independent content review remain pending where the evidence has not been fully reconciled.
A conflict is a useful output
The finder’s Comfort Care result intentionally contains both the retailer trash-only instruction and the maker’s conditional claim. It does not simplify them into a green disposal badge. A buyer can use that output to ask a precise current-panel question before relying on a route. The website has not inspected a sewer, septic system or local authority rule. It cannot close the conflict by deciding which statement would be more convenient for the intended purchase.
