Do not call list price a former sale

Keep the exact option
A product-level starting price can belong to a smaller bag. Only Natural Pet’s selected 40 lb Ultra option is 22.99 USD, while its 18 lb variant has another price. The lower minimum should not be divided by 40 to create a fictional unit cost. A bundle, other material or different formula also needs its own selected price denominator.
Separate seller offers
The maker-store ökocat 18.8 lb price is 32.99 USD at observation. A Chewy family option shows a different price for a current 18.8 lb bag. They are different seller observations, not a reason to attach one seller’s availability or shipping policy to another’s amount. The chosen comparison remains explicit about which exact offer supplies each price.
Use the editable input carefully
A buyer can enter an actual current quoted bag price in the tool. The resulting quotient is labeled as their input, not a newly verified market price. Shipping, tax and unverified discounts remain outside the merchandise base. The website does not contact the retailer to confirm a coupon or reserve a promotional quantity.
Before calling an offer cheaper
